On the morning of June 18, Moscow Time, China·Foshan Shunde Superior-Product Exhibition Center officially started operation in Moscow. Nearly 500 products covering household appliances, furniture and so on from 77 Shunde enterprises appeared as a whole. The Exhibition Center is Shunde's first exhibition center of superior products built abroad, which has set up a new platform for Foshan to strengthen economic and trade exchanges with Russia.
Guo Wenhai, Standing Member of CPC Foshan Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC Shunde District Committee, said at the launching ceremony that under the background of the new era of Sino-Russian relations, the first overseas superior-product exhibition center of Shunde was launched in Russia, which is an important measure for Shunde to promote Sino-Russian cooperation. "The Exhibition Center shows the Russian people high-quality products such as Shunde household appliances, and it is also a new starting point for cooperation between Shunde and Russia and the future cooperation between the two sides has great space and potential."
It is known that the Exhibition Center is located in Moscow Almada Furniture City, with an exhibition area of 350 square meters. It is designed and decorated with reference to the interior decoration style of Russian family houses. The experience area will integrate Shunde superior products into the real scene. At present, there are 77 enterprises in the Exhibition Center. Nearly 500 products are exhibited, covering home appliances, furniture, hardware and lighting.
The person in charge of Shunde Economy Promotion Bureau said, in order to create a new growth pole of foreign trade, Shunde has not only increased the share of European and American markets, but also has vigorously explored and layout the market of the "Belt and Road" countries. Russia is an important partner in the Belt and Road Initiative. The exhibition center aims to further enhance the overall quality of Shunde's industry in the Russian market, promote bilateral economic and trade cooperation to upgrade its quality and competitiveness. Shunde and Russia have strong industrial complementarity and broad prospects for economic and trade cooperation.
In fact, Shunde has close economic and trade relations with Russia. In 2018, the total import and export volume of Shunde to Russia was 2.99 billion yuan with an increase of 12.4% over the same period last year. Shunde mainly exports household appliances, furniture, sports goods and so on. The main imported products are diamonds, frozen fish, sawdust and so on. Since 2008, Midea, Galanz, Vanward and other enterprises have set up sales companies in Moscow, actively develop their own brands, and explore the Russian market. In order to lead the traditional superior industries in Shunde to open up new markets and cope with the complex international market environment, Shunde plans to open six overseas exhibition centers of Shunde's high-quality products within three years.
